dantoneeprom

Danton is not just part of the French new wave of producers that are pushing his country to the forefront of electronic music. Danton also represents France’s minimal side.

Though a producer since 2005, his musical background is diverse, from garage rock to pop, all feeding his love for performance and musical experimentation. With fans and supporters such as Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Ivan Smagghe, Damian Lazarus, Ewan Pearson, Agoria and Radio Slave it was safe to say that Danton Eeprom was the genuine ‘one-to-watch’ for 2007 ,and for sure the ‘one-to-party-with’ for 2008.

The EP “Confessions Of An English Opium Eater” Gained Worldwide recognition, giving him the opportunity to release on his Own imprint Fondation Records. Now Danton has 4 EPs on his own label and more releases to come.

Danton is coming to town on friday, March 7th 2008, with Hosts Pito, Switch and Karraskilla. for $10 you will be part of the NYC debut of Danton on Bar 13 (rsvp sending an email to rsvp@biatchcorp.com)

Brit Invasion

swayzak

Swayzak’s new opus sounds mature and full. On the Brits’ last album “Some Other Country”, what counts is quality, loud showy effects are superfluous. Swayzak have always loved their echo pedal, but in their tenth year of existence, their dub-techno attains a new, compositional dimension. “We’re more interested in atmosphere,” said Brun about the release. “The album is darker and heavier – a reaction to all that minimal stuff that has become a type of mainstream.” Indeed, the pieces on “Some other country” aren’t just a trip to another country: little worlds unfold.

Studio B will become the special venue to welcome again Swayzak. the Corporation Djs will join the lineup this saturday February 23th along with Stadenco (Housework), Dennis Rodgers (Robots) and Van Scott (Resident Verboten).

it’s $10 (yes, $10!) send an email to rsvp@biatchcorp.com to get on the list.

Jussi-pekka flyer ny

Jussi-Pekka is an artist in the truest sense of the word. And that artistic way of thinking can be experienced, if you ever happen to hear any of his deep, funky and soulful DJ-sets, influenced by a mixture of sounds like Basic Channel, Kompakt, Aphex Twin, Rising High and for sure by the complete decade of the 90’s, in which Jussi-Pekka became a young man.

But it´s not only the DJ in him. His profiling production face also perfectly underlines his musical character. Combining Detroit techno, groovy beats and acid elements, he is forming his unique cool & crispy Jussi-Pekka sound. The sound of the Frozen North. Mr. Parikka manages the crossover between house and techno as only a very few others do, with a subliminal sureness to receive support from a crossfire of DJs from different electronic niches, including the likes of Hawtin, Bug, Villalobos, Garnier, James Holden, Electric Indigo and Timo Maas.

The first one of 2008…A lot of expectations for this year, upcoming label and new features for the website are next steps for the corporation.
